I’m always looking for movies that are appropriate for  my kids to watch.  It seems like all the movies that are coming out nowadays for kids are really pushing the envelope.  My kids, like most kids, are very impressionable.  So while a movie make them laugh hysterically, I often wonder if they are OK for them to watch…meaning, would I want them to mimic what they are seeing?  I was glad that The Three Stooges movie had the part at the end where they are shown how all the tools were fake.

Recently I was provided with two movies to review, MVP:  Most Valuable Primate and MVP 2:  Most Vertical Primate to review.  Both movies are from the same director and producer of Air Buddies (which…if you haven’t seen that movie, you must.  It’s cute!).

MVP:  Most Valuable Primate

MVP

When Jack, a sign language-speaking chimp, is sold to a research lab, he makes a break for freedom and ends up stranded in the frozen northlands.  Befriended by two teens, Jack’s talent for ice skating soon turns him into the local hockey team’s secret weapon.  Now, playoffs are in full swing and the lab officials are closing in.  Jack has one chance to prove that when it comes to skating away with the affections of an entire town, he doesn’t monkey around.

This movie has a running time of 93 minutes and it is rated PG (for some minor language).  You can pick this movie up at Walmart for $9.99!

MVP 2:  Most Vertical Primate

MVP 2

Jack is back, and this time he’s traded in his hockey skates for a skateboard!  When the beloved chimp is framed for something he didn’t do,  he ends up lost and alone in a strange city.  Befriended by Ben, a shy skateboarder kid, Jack reveals a hidden talent for totally awesome skateboard tricks!

This movie, the sequel to MVP:  Most Valuable Primate, has a running time of 87 minutes and is rated G.  This movie can be purchased at Walmart for $9.99!

My kids really enjoyed these movies!  My daughter is a total animal lover so anything that has an animal in it, she likes.  If you would like more information about these two movies, you can visit www.kaboom-ent.com.
