If you are conscious about your protein intake like I am, then this recipe is for you! I opted to use bone broth instead of chicken broth, making sure I had even more protein. Using lean ground turkey was another way to get a fair amount of protein in with not a lot of fat. I hope you give this recipe a try. If you do, please let me know in the comments what you think!

Macros for Ground Turkey and Sweet Potato Stew

I like to keep track of my macros. I feel that it helps me stay on track with my eating. Now you will want to take these macros with a grain of salt because they are based on the specific ingredients that I used. Those macros are:

  • Calories – 300
  • Fat – 2.9 g
  • Carbs – 32.7 g
  • Protein – 37.6 g

A few notes on things I used in this recipe that may be different from what you choose. I picked very lean (99%) ground turkey. The canned tomatoes I opted for were fire roasted tomatoes. They add a nice flavor, in my opinion. I also forgot, this time around, to add the tomato paste. Don’t forget to add it! It’s good without it, but I like how it tastes with it more! Just adds another dimension to the recipe.

Other Soup Recipes You Must Try

Soups and stews are one of my favorite things to make. I typically use my dutch oven pot, but you can always use your slow cooker. It’s up to you. This Christmas I got the Ninja Possible Cooker and I cannot wait to use it! Here are some of my other favorite soup recipes I’ve made over the years:

  • Low Carb Italian Wedding Soup Recipe
  • Chorizo Chicken Soup Recipe
  • Turkey Cabbage Soup

What are your favorite soup recipes? I’m always looking to add to my list of favorites!
